Overview
Summary:
The Gift Shop Team Leader provides leadership and personnel management for their assigned gift shop. This is done through overseeing the day-to-day operations, daily cash drawer reconciliation, maintaining the overall appearance and inventory levels in the shop, and offering training and supervision to the sales associates.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree preferred; 3-5 years of relevant experience required; HS diploma/GED required.
- Experience with inventory management, cash drawer reconciliation, personnel management, and customer relations.
- Requires strong mathematical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Requires ability to work flexible hours, including weekends on short notice to meet staffing needs.
- Requires ability to recognize and handle difficult situations, explain instructions in simple terminology, and organize and process a high volume of work within established standards.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), lift 10-15 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally; possibility of weekend and evening coverage if necessary.
