Job Requisition ID #24WD80372Position OverviewAs an EHS Engineer, you will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety, environmental and transportation regulations and promote best safety practices both in the office and workshops across the US West. This role supports implementation of EH&S programs, supports execution of required actions, conducts audits and evaluations to confirm regulatory and corporate compliance, and engages with all personnel to cultivate a healthy work environment.This role will report to the Manager, Environmental Health and Safety. This role will be onsite at the Pier 9 location 4 days a week and one day at home. The hours are flexible but typically will be 9am-5pm PST.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and maintains compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by OSHA, NFPA, EPA, the Certified Unified Program Agency, and other applicable regulatory agenciesResponds to incidents including spills, injuries, and other emergencies, including conducting investigations and implementing corrective actionsDevelops, updates, coordinates, and delivers EHS trainings for EH&S programs as assigned by ManagerManages vendor relationships and evaluate vendors, including managing budget, conducting performance business reviews (QBRs), and addressing any issues to maintain safety and compliance as assigned by ManagerDevelops, implements and maintains emergency preparedness and response documentation such as emergency action plansLeads emergency response team and safety committee meetings for assigned locationsPlans and leads emergency response drills on an annual basis for assigned locationsEnsures safety requirements are followed for any onsite meetings and events, film and photography shoots for the assigned locationsConducts regular inspections and audits of the office and workshopsConducts risk assessments, implements safety measures, and develops required documentation such as standard operating procedures, lockout-tagout procedures, and machine guarding and PPE reportsOversees safety and environmental compliance for the San Francisco Technology Center including day to day operations, air permit, and HMBP permitPrepares all annual and periodic environmental documentation for the assigned locations such as conducting chemical inventories and preparing and maintaining HMBP documentation as requiredManages hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal activities including hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, universal waste, and recycling materialsEvaluates operations for continuous process improvement and implementation of preventive action measuresAssists with EHS duties at other facilities as assigned by ManagerMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university. A degree in environmental sciences, engineering, chemistry, or other relevant technical discipline is preferredMinimum of 3 or more years of EH&S experience in an R&D or manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge and experience in interpreting, applying and documenting federal, state and local health, safety and environmental regulationsStrong organizational, time management skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends when neededPosition occasionally requires the ability to travel to company sponsored conferences and events as well as assigned locations to conduct auditsThe Ideal CandidateFluent in Spanish preferredExperience working with project management tools such as Airtable and Smartsheet preferred.Experience managing EH&S compliance at multiple locations preferredASP, CSP, or CIH certification(s) valued#LI-RB1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $62,500 and $107,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
