The Guest Services Representative is often the first interaction the public has with the Osage Nation. The primary goal of this position is to ensure that the visitor's introduction into Osage history and culture is enjoyable and positive by providing excellent customer service and engaging interpretive experiences. As the frontline staff, the Guest Services Representative also ensures the safety of visitors and the protection of exhibited art and material culture by monitoring the public areas and galleries.

The Guest Services Representative is often the first interaction the public has with the Osage Nation. The primary goal of this position is to ensure that the visitor's introduction into Osage history and culture is enjoyable and positive by providing excellent customer service and engaging interpretive experiences. As the frontline staff, the Guest Services Representative also ensures the safety of visitors and the protection of exhibited art and material culture by monitoring the public areas and galleries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred
- At least 1 year(s) working experience in customer service
- Must have knowledge of Osage history, art and material culture. Familiarity with Osage language desired
- Preferred ability to do one of the following art forms: ribbon work, bead work, finger weaving, drum making, moccasin making or feather work
- Weekend work required every Saturday
- Must possess excellent writing and speaking abilities
- Must have the ability to work across disciplines with various funding sources and grant criteria
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem solving skills
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must demonstrate skill in operating computers, including web browsers and social media
- Must have the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Requires the ability to build rapport over the phone, control conversations and demonstrate exceptional service delivery
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must have a valid driver's license - may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehicles
