Boka is coming back at upper west NYC. we are hiring for a Sous Chef position.

Job Description: you will assist the Executive chef in food preparation, kitchen management and operation of service. You will oversee kitchen staffs, ensure food quality, and maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development of dishes.
- Prepare and cook high-quality food in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Contribute creative ideas for seasonal menus and special events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a Korean or Asian cuisine restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Korean culinary techniques and traditional dishes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
