Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Education/Experience:High school diploma, or equivalent,A minimum of (5) five years experience in the operation of manual and/or CNC controlled machining equipment.Duties: Could include, but may not be limited to, the following:Running production parts on Manual and CNC machining equipmentCollection and recording of SPC characteristics of manufactured parts on digital and manual measuring devicesWork with Supervision, Engineering and/or Mission Assurance personnel to improve safety, quality, and/or cost of manufacturing processesTrain other machinists and operators to safely, accurately and proficiently manufacture parts using manual and CNC equipment.Serve as resource for Engineering, Supervision, Mission Assurance and other machinists as requiredResponsibilities:Could include, but may not be limited to, the following:Mount tooling according to the tool sheet or the programIndicate and align all toolsTouch off tools on X,Z, and Y axisProduce first part and submit to inspectionMake changes based on inspection results in order to get first piece acceptanceAssure that all gages and necessary documentation are in the work areaNote all tool and insert changesBasic knowledge of how to operate and navigate a computer.Operate any process in accordance with the procedures and set up sheetsSupport Research and Development efforts by collaborating with respective engineersTechnology Knowledge: Must have thorough understanding and be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following:Shop mathematicsBlue-print reading and understandingAbility to read and take measurements using digital and manual inspection equipmentBusiness Process Knowledge:Support management strategies and plansPromote safety and healthUnderstand the customer needs and expectationsPerform to the highest level of qualityCommunicate effectivelySalary Range: $32-$32 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
