Position Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to lead Arrow International, Inc. NPD in gaining approval of the e-Tab games through identifying the regulatory requirements and to ensure accurate product submissions to the regulatory bodies and Independent Test Labs. This will be accomplished through compiling product submission packages, educating the Development and Quality Assurance teams on the release note polices and working closely with Independent Test Laboratories to create efficiencies in the approval process. The Compliance Engineer will work alongside the Product Development Team and Business Operations to capture regulatory technical requirements for development of compliant products and to ensure Arrow International, Inc. understands the operational procedures regarding the regulated components.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Effectively collaborates with multifunctional teams including, but not limited to, Engineering, Project Management and Executive Leadership on new product development and existing product improvements.
  • Works closely with all departments and stakeholders to provide input and oversight regarding identified product field issues, to include regulator communications, assistance in creating and distributing appropriate regulatory notifications and tracking through to resolution.
  • Identifies and reports product compliance risks to management.
  • Collaborate with QA lead to create and update jurisdictional test plans
  • Performs jurisdictional testing on games and perform tasks to assist QA lead with game testing.
  • Creates written processes for submissions to test labs, and maintains the document for updates and edits
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and communication channels with regulatory authorities/testing agencies.
  • Builds strong product knowledge and requirements knowledge, to help forge world class relationships with regulatory/testing agency staff.
  • Owns and manages product submissions as well as any high-performance items, as required.
  • Researches, manages, and assists in the resolution of issues or discrepancies that the regulatory/testing agencies encounter during the submission/testing process.
  • Serves as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and independent test labs regarding all product submissions and dispositions and reports status. Interprets laws, rules and regulations to determine filing and reporting requirements for regulatory agencies. This may also include working with legal counsel in the negotiation process for changes to regulations where appropriate and required for product approvals.
  • Keeps abreast of any new requirements or changes to existing rules, regulations and legislative requirements that may impact the company's products.
  • Review regulations and incorporate requirements into development procedures and test cases.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience and Education
  • BA/BS Engineering/Technical field or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum six (6) years of experience in gaming compliance, gaming operations, or another comparable regulated field.
  • Understanding of game software development challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high fluency in defect tracking.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior management.
