Job Description:
Renewance is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll handle financial modeling, budget development, reporting, margin analysis, monthly close support, and revenue forecasting. You'll also work closely with our Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency, while partnering with the Operations team to better understand costs and identify ways to improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be looking to take on responsibility and grow their career, eager to contribute to key financial decisions and make an impact as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Create financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze business operations and strategies to identify new opportunities.
- Partner with AP and AR teams to ensure accuracy in expense tracking, cash flow management, and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to support monthly close processes, ensuring that all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
- Partnering with stakeholders to identify and implement dashboarding tools to increase business efficiencies.
- Work closely with the Operations team to monitor key operational metrics and assess project financial performance.
- Identify cost reduction initiatives to increase gross margin.
- Produce monthly reports, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
- Assist with annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide support for monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Respond to information requests from management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; or relevant work experience.
- 2-7 years of financial planning & analysis experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience working in a startup or small company environment - working with small teams and using critical thinking to create processes a must have.
- Experience with Operations focused Financial Analysis.
- Experience partnering with AP, AR, Controller, and Operations teams.
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience using or implementing dashboarding tools like PowerBI, Tableau, etc. preferred
- Working experience with an ERP/EMP system preferred.
