Role/ Department: Senior Consultant/Internal Audit (Chief Administrative Office)
The CAO Team is responsible for providing centralized administrative support to the Audit Services department across a number of disciplines, including: program-level support of annual audit plan execution, resource planning and execution, support of financial management, global project and initiative oversight, communication strategy, and employee engagement. Team members within the CAO team are encouraged to build authentic relationships with global managers, think creatively, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

The Senior Consultant is responsible for managing and prioritizing a portfolio of projects and initiatives on behalf of one or more of Audit Services’ stakeholder teams through a central operating model, in addition to helping the group’s CAO with strategic projects and initiatives. This role will be based in the Chicago market and will be a direct report of the Audit Services CAO, with indirect reporting to assigned functional Managing Director(s) (MD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management, including team audit planning, and work to deliver the Audit Services initiative portfolio.
  • Track key deliverables and identify/escalate realized and potential obstacles and delays to the CAO.
  • Centralize resource planning, including working with Recruiting to attract and onboard talent.
  • Evaluate and analyze team monthly expenses and explain variances to budget.
  • Participate/lead engagement initiatives on behalf of the department and their functional MD team(s).
  • Collate and review MD Dashboard key metrics.
  • Coordinate, attend, and track actions from team meetings.
  • Integrate key communications into overall department strategy and process.
  • Think strategically to connect the dots across BU teams and relaying key themes to MDs.
  • Support CAO efforts to manage operational risk programs on behalf of the department.
  • Collaborate with others on the team to deliver consistency across all teams globally.
  • Assess department processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and create team KPIs to drive performance.
  • Special and ad/hoc strategic projects as appropriate.

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - advanced MS Excel skills preferred.
