Contract Duration: 6 months

Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

Description:

Our Enterprise-class SSDs are expected to be of the highest quality; therefore, we seek a highly-experienced engineer to support our cutting-edge Enterprise and Data Center SSD products. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in storage system and device-level test, validation, and failure analysis. Other duties will include monitoring quality metrics to ensure trends demonstrate a constant improvement in product quality.

  • Conduct OCP compliance tests for our datacenter SSDs
  • Conduct failure analysis from host/system side, collecting debug information such as device logs as well as bus traces for further analysis
  • Develop Linux or Windows-based test cases for FW feature validation
  • Provide support at OEM sites to collect logs or bus traces for failure analysis

Requirements

BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar majors, and 5 years of relevant experience; or an MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar majors with 3 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Hands-on experience with system or device-level issue analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Storage protocol (e.g., NVMe/PCIe) and logical/signal analyzers
  • Programming/scripting skills (Perl, Shell, or Python is preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a multi-functional team
  • Familiar with OCP spec is a plus
  • Strong experience with test case development is a plus
  • Experience with system or device-level performance analysis
