District Manager

A Plus Automotive started in 2019. Our vision was to grow a profitable business by creating a positive employee experience, so that each employee is passionate about delivering a customer experience that exceeds customers' expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all locations open on time, remain open until scheduled to close, and are staffed appropriately for the business, including key positions like inspectors in all N.C. locations.
  • Collect and review KPIs on an ongoing daily basis, including mid-day 1 PM results to confirm we are pacing to hit goals or make changes to improve and control labor if needed.
  • Send a brief daily recap email at the conclusion of the day to communicate ongoing challenges, opportunities, and wins at the location.
  • Send the agenda for the following week no later than Saturday at 7 PM to RM.
  • Be the cheerleader for your teams, maintaining a high level of positivity and motivation at all times.
  • Hold your team accountable through performance management, providing recognition when things go well and addressing issues when they do not.
  • Deal with claims, warranties, and customer complaints that exceed $100 or your store leadership’s abilities.
  • Complete Personal Action Forms for any employee changes, terminations, transfers, vacations, payroll deductions, and pay changes.
  • Grow the business by increasing customer count and maintaining current fleet accounts.
  • Conduct interviews and recruit to always improve your market.
  • Manage social media customer feedback and Google reviews, taking action if required.
  • Verify payroll accuracy every Thursday, ensuring correct breaks, times, and that your team gets paid correctly.
  • Verify and approve all orders while staying within budget and ensuring product availability.
  • Respond to all emails, especially closing emails from your teams, with detail, professionalism, and positivity.
  • Ensure cross-training and readiness for turnover, especially in management positions.
  • Support company incentives, initiatives, and contests to motivate your team and encourage competition.
  • Complete all administrative tasks by Monday at 8 AM, especially payroll, bonuses, and new hire packets.

  • Work 5 days, 50 hours in stores, but be engaged and available when needed.
  • Be a true leader and build a team that enjoys and takes pride in their work.
  • Increase sales, control costs, and ensure profitability.
  • Teach, train, coach, and motivate your teams to help them achieve bonuses.
  • Delegate tasks to the correct team members and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Perform performance management effectively.
  • Ensure a great customer and employee experience.

  • Leadership skills, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to listen and learn.
  • Self-motivated to work with little to no supervision.
  • Accept responsibility for all things and people in your charge.
  • Strong communication and computer skills (Excel, Word, email, text, Zoom).

  • Ensuring each employee and customer has a great experience.
  • Recruiting and staffing the business for growth while controlling costs to ensure profitability.
  • Teaching, training, and enforcing strict adherence to processes and procedures to prevent damage claims and customer complaints.
  • Delivering on KPIs, including sales, customer count, payroll cost, and profitability.
  • Ensuring employee and customer safety, including workers' compensation and shop liability.

Secondary Focus Should Be

  • Facility and equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Curb appeal.
  • Recruiting.
  • Fleet account management.
  • Online training completion.
