Job description: Sportswear Inc., the parent company of multiple direct to consumer brands, has recently launched a new company called Vintage Brand ( Vintage Brand is a collection of over 10,000 authentic pieces of sports memorabilia that have been digitally restored and rendered on products for the dedicated sports fan. Vintage Brand is looking for a motivated, influential marketing individual that can take our brand to the next level. This valuable position is accountable for the strategy and direction of our social media across all social media platforms. The ideal candidate is a sports enthusiast that knows how to empower followers through storytelling, visual imagery, and strategic product placement across all social media platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work alongside the creative director to develop and implement social media strategies.
  2. Create relevant, customer-centric, brand stories to engage our social community and inspire new members.
  3. Ability to see the big picture but also get into the day-to-day tasks in order to complete the goal.
  4. Build and own the social media calendar.
  5. Partner with Marketing and Creative team in order to execute cohesive brand story.
  6. Actively measure and monitor social media analytics.
  7. Ability to locate and engage with influencers in order to help grow the brand.
  8. Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, design, and strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 3-4 years of experience in social media field (preferably e-commerce).
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Visual Communications.
  3. Strong knowledge of social media landscape and platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and others (YouTube, Snapchat).
  4. Proven track record of growing a social media community.
  5. Personal “power user” of social media platforms.
  6. Proven track record of working on projects from concept to completion.
  7. Ability to adapt to ever-changing technology and social trends.
  8. Photography/video direction experience is a plus.
  9. Ability to think strategically and stay on top of deadlines.
  10. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  11. Experience working in apparel, e-commerce, or is part of our target consumer audience.
  12. Sports enthusiast well-versed in baseball and/or basketball lifestyle and current events.
  13. Creative eye and visually impactful instincts.
  14. Passion for and experience with creating social-first content, with the ability to think strategically.
  15. Team player who is willing to wear multiple hats.
