We prefer this position to be based at our headquarters in Missoula, MT, but we may consider remote work, depending on experience.
Job Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst works with staff to proactively identify technology needs and coordinates organizational resources to facilitate efficient solutions. Ensures user needs are met through initiation, implementation and continued support phases of technology projects. Trains users on relevant systems and serves as a support resource. Maximizes the potential of systems and ensures end-user technology is current, relevant and integrated efficiently with other systems when possible.
Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology.
  • Facilitates training, including developing user procedures and guidelines. Trains users on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  • Responds to inquiries and provides advice to the users regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
  • Communicates plans and timeframes, ensuring that users understand anticipated results.
  • Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation.
  • Communicates project expectations and progress to management and other relevant parties.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to ensure the needs of the users have been met.
  • Satisfies data sampling, testing verification, and other user requests from existing databases.
  • Acts as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems.
  • Assures all systems are fully documented including support information, FAQ and SOP.
  • Provides user support, including researching and resolving issues, recommending solutions or alternate methods to working requirements.
  • Maintains awareness of current technological trends with a focus of applying technologies to enable improved workflows, efficiencies, teamwork and customer service.
  • Analyzes processes for improvement, application of technology, and assures processes are documented.
  • Provides functional support for RMEF systems including Office 365, ERP and the Event Management System (EMS). Aids users in creation of reports and data analysis.
  • Works to assure data integrity across systems.
  • Develop, organize and keep how-to and training information current.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Thorough knowledge and support of the RMEF's mission, goals, and organizational structure and activities.
  • Ability to work well with customers with a variety level of skills and abilities.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service: respond in a timely manner, follow-through, and provide follow-up when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and proactively. Self-motivated and resourceful.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technology quickly.

Supervision of Others:
Supervise sub-contractors and vendors for IT projects within responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from a college, university, or technical school with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent professional experience. The candidate should have two or more years of related experience.
Physical Demands:
Can sit for long periods. Constant use of office equipment such as telephones, computers, and office equipment are necessary. Some light lifting and bending are also necessary. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary.
