Job Summary
This position will be tailored to the skills of the applicant. The position will be responsible for managing inquiries for IT assistance within a service ticket process. The position will provide end users with technical support with day-to-day duties and issues with computer hardware and software. Software includes MS Office applications, Windows operating system, general business tools and more. The position will assist rolling out operating system and Office application updates. The position will assist in the development of internal communication tools. Any experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, PHP, Perl, PL/SQL, SQL+, Oracle database, MS SQL database, etc. can drive additional opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide technical assistance for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
• Interact with users includes email, audio, video and remote access
• Document resolutions for the IT department and end-users to reference
• Assist with management of equipment for users onsite and remote
• Setup user and system profile for new users
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience
• Minimum 2-year technical degree
• IT Field work experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Technical knowledge of PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral hardware devices preferred
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, communications software, web development, virus protection, and diagnostic software
• Problem solving skills, think logically and analytically
• Work in a team environment and have the initiative to work individually
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work can be negotiated from 7am to 8pm Monday through Friday. Weekend hours may be needed for a special or urgent project only. Limited travel may be necessary between our Watertown, Madison and Sioux Falls locations.
Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment with end users in both an office (on-premise and remote) and manufacturing environment at multiple locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, video/audio tools and peripherals.
