The Role
This is a full-time role located at our Roxbury site. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for preparing monthly billing to contract agencies and entering it into the accounting system. The responsibilities for this role include preparing bank deposits, entering cash receipts, and maintaining communication for timely billing and collections. The Specialist monitors aged receivables, ensures contract compliance through database cross-referencing, and supports third-party insurance billing and collections. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate financial and program records, reviewing monthly aging reports for the VP of Finance, and providing general support to the business office as needed.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• Four years of experience in accounts receivable and bookkeeping in a computerized environment.
• Must have familiarity with at least one accounting software package.

You'll Stand Out If:

• You have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills. experience working with a non-profit that supports youth development and/or behavioral health outpatient facilities.
• You're familiar with at least one accounting software package.
