Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator who shares our commitment to excellence and relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for leading complex electrical project estimates, ensuring accurate bids, and championing the values that set our team apart. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who thrives in high-ethics environments, is skilled in multi-faceted projects, and is dedicated to the personal and professional growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quote and Bid Projects: Lead the preparation of accurate estimates for a wide range of electrical projects, from small-scale installations to large construction projects.
2. Vendor and Subcontractor Bid Management: Request, evaluate, and manage vendor and subcontractor bids to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
3. Team Leadership: Review bids prepared by the estimating team and provide guidance to ensure alignment with our standards of excellence and integrity.
4. Department Oversight: Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Estimating Department, ensuring it operates efficiently and upholds company values.
5. Industry Networking: Develop and maintain a strong network of professional relationships within the industry to support business growth and project success.
6. Client Relations: Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
7. Independent Decision Making: Perform routine duties independently, demonstrating sound judgement, thoroughness, and competence in all tasks.
8. Additional Responsibilities: Complete additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

1. Experience: 7-10 years in a similar role with at least 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator handling projects ranging from $1,000 to over $5 million.
2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
3. Technical Expertise: Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
4. Software Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other estimating software.
5. Task Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
6. Team Player: Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player with excellent communication skills.
7. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, ensuring accurate and high-quality estimates.
