An employer is looking for a Lead Azure Architect to support all phases of development, design, modernization, and migration in support of a government multi-cloud environment with 50+ customer tenants and growing. They must have engineering and design experience and extensive Azure knowledge and experience with integration, system analysis or programming experience, including developing Azure systems requirements and design specification. Their day to day will consist of leading the design and development of complex cloud solutions within Azure, design and implement Azure-based solutions, oversee the development of applications, and serving as the technical lead for Azure projects, providing guidance to development, operations, and infrastructure teams. They will be interfacing with business stakeholders, development teams, project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. They will be mentoring junior architects and engineers to recommend new cloud services and solutions that align with the organizations goals.
This is a fully remote position that requires working online from 8 AM to 5 PM EST.
Skills and Requirements
- Ability to obtain a DHS public Trust Clearance
- Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- 5+ years of developing systems requirements and design specifications in Azure
- 3+ years of experience in project management/ lead architect positions in Azure development or implementation
- PowerShell, Gitlab, and Ansible experience
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Azure cloud and deploying in Government environments
- Other Certificates supporting Microsoft technologies
