NW Employer Solutions is hiring for an Accounting Assistant on behalf of O'Neill Construction group located in Portland, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Tracking : Maintain detailed records of project costs, track actual versus budgeted costs, and allocate expenses to projects.
- Job Costing : Assist with tracking project profitability by managing job costs and preparing job cost reports.
- Invoicing : Process and enter invoices for accounts payable and subcontractors.
- Accounts Receivable Support : Help with managing customer accounts and client payments.
- Clerical Support : Perform general office duties, including filing and collecting timecards.
- Cross-Training : Be cross-trained in core accounting functions and serve as a backup for payroll as needed.
- Vendor Management : Obtain and maintain W-9 forms from vendors.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience : At least 1 year of data entry and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Excel). Viewpoint Software experience is a plus.
- Attention to Detail : You're organized, able to handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with ease.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Self-Starter : You're proactive, able to work independently, and excited to grow within the company.
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Wage : $20-25/hour (based on experience)
- Benefits : Health insurance, 401k/profit sharing, paid holidays, and paid time off per Employee Handbook.
Schedule:
- Full-Time : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- In-Person : This is not a telecommuting position.
