Scope/Categories:
Role will report to the North America Associate Director of Digital Experience. Travel may include approximately 15% of work time.
Key Interfaces:
Internal: NA Marketing VP, NA Marketing Brands and Product Teams, NA D&A Product Managers; Legal Team, DTS Cloud Team; DTS Enterprise Architecture Team; NA DTS Team; DTS Global Commercial team.
External: Marketing Agencies, Third Party Providers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of developers and web technology professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-quality, scalable web solutions that align with business strategies and goals, in compliance with regulatory requirements and enterprise standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX/UI designers, product managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of web projects.
- Implement and enforce best practices in software development, including code quality, performance optimization, and security measures.
- Drive the adoption of modern technologies and methodologies to enhance the team's capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.
- Manage timelines, resources, and budgets , ensuring that all initiatives are completed on time and within scope.
- Lead the strategy for web and digital technology, aligning with organizational goals and driving digital transformation.
- Stay current with emerging technology trends and integrate relevant advancements into the team's work.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging the team to stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Ensure that all development and web solutions comply with relevant data privacy regulations such as CPRA/CCPA, GDPR, and other global privacy standards.
- Implement mechanisms for handling user consent, managing data access controls, and ensuring that all data collection practices align with legal requirements.
- Act as a point of escalation for technical issues, providing solutions and guiding the team through complex challenges.
- Collaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to align on technical strategies and share best practices.
- Report on progress , team performance, and technological advancements to senior leadership.
- Lead the team's efforts in troubleshooting and resolving issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in information technology leading remote, global teams across time zones and a minimum of 5 years of experience in product or engineering management.
- 8+ years of experience and deep understanding of digital marketing technologies is required, specifically in web development.
- Strong expertise in Sitecore CMS and other web technologies with experience in building, delivering, and operating digital platforms.
- Technical leadership experience with solution architecture, software development, engineering management, and application delivery, including CICD, SDLC, and MACH architecture practices.
- Extensive experience in issue spotting and raising compliance issues in their day-to-day and be aware of the major regulatory considerations impacting their work.
- Proven track record in leading and delivering complex digital projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations like CPRA/CCPA, GDPR, and their implications for web development.
- Experience implementing data protection mechanisms, including consent management, data encryption, and access controls.
- Familiarity with One Trust or similar systems privacy and compliance features, including the ability to configure and enforce data protection settings.
- Proven ability and experience in building highly skilled product teams and mentoring a team of developers.
- Strong sense of urgency in delivering results and high cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Operate as a change agent at multiple levels of an organization with outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration at all levels.
