Job Requirements / Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, including design, implementation, and maintenance of data centers. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure that data centers are designed to meet business requirements, are scalable, and adhere to industry standards.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed architectural documentation for new data centers and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality data center solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations for new data centers.
  • Ensure data center designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements for security, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
  • Optimize data center performance, including energy efficiency, space utilization, and resource management.
  • Lead capacity planning efforts to anticipate future needs and scale data center resources accordingly.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operations teams during the deployment and maintenance of data center infrastructure.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data center architecture.
  • Participate in the development of data center policies, procedures, and standards.


Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Computer Science, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in data center design and architecture.
  • Proficiency in data center technologies, including power and cooling systems, networking, storage, and virtualization.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices, such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and ASHRAE.
  • Experience with data center management tools and software.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CDCDP, CDCS, or DCCA are a plus.
