Position Summary
The Reservations Agent is responsible for the accurate recording and processing of reservations as well as the maximization of room sales through pro-active selling and up-selling techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for handling all incoming reservation requests and cancellations via phone, email, etc.
  • Support inputting of group room detail into Opera from Sales team as needed.
  • Determine caller's needs through active listening and using probing questions to satisfy and sell to those needs.
  • Remain up to date with hotel information, local attractions, restaurant, and transportation options.
  • Receive and respond to left messages and email messages in a timely manner.
  • Input group rooming lists using reservation systems.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a luxury or upscale property preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English; Bi-lingual is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Experience utilizing Opera is a plus.
