Cygnet Nepicar House is expanding! We are looking to recruit an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism, and learning disabilities within the UK.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

VAT

  1. Review month end VAT postings and reconciliations.
  2. Review quarterly VAT return workings and submit returns through Sage.
  3. Lead on Cygnet’s VAT restructure project.
  4. Advise the business on VAT treatment of items e.g. development projects.
  5. Review of annual tax pack information to go to external tax advisors.
  6. Responsible for quarterly instalment payment workings.
  7. iXBRL tagging of financial statements for group.
  8. Responsible for tax and deferred tax postings and disclose in financial statements.
  9. Finalisation of yearend tax returns.
  10. Ownership of transfer pricing arrangements.
  11. Review expenditure to identify any potential R&D projects and lead on any claims.

Employment taxes

  1. Review share options and dividends monthly reports and reconciliations.
  2. Prepare year end share options reports and returns.
  3. PSA compliance.
  4. Tax advice on Long Term Incentive Schemes.

Experience

  1. General tax advisory background.
