REPORTS TO: Director of Workforce DevelopmentFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptWAGE RANGE: $55,000 - $60,000/YearSUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Workforce Programs this position supports the effort to coordinate and collaborate regionally, to maintain and continuously improve workforce pipeline navigation with employers, regional consortiums, community colleges, education school districts, regional occupational training programs, Workforce Development Council, and other regional organizations to ensure a skilled workforce in support of the regional economy. This work ensures that regional demand driven and emerging growth sectors and to move job seekers along their career pathway for the regional community into those regional economies.This position provides regional strategic business solutions and engages with the local Business Solutions Team within the WorkSource Center. Business Solution Teams serve as an essential conduit between the public workforce system stakeholders, partners, and customers---job seekers and employers, navigating employers to resources that help build a skilled workforce. This position supports established sector partnerships and works with regional sector employers to establish additional sector partnerships in the region, using the PacMtn WDC Strategic Workforce Plan sector partnership framework to show progress over time.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:Participate in and support the local Business Solutions Team(s) in support of training and development, partner coordination and communication, functional workflow, weekly team meetings, WorkSource Business Resource Board, hiring events attached to training, business workshops, business engagement, workforce planning, and regional and local targeted marketing campaigns.Work with business, industry and labor organizations, and Workforce Development Councils within the region to fill gaps in the workforce; promote integration of workforce training and employment.Collaborate with industry and workforce training and education partners to improve access and evaluation of qualified candidates, develop and maintain regional sector partnership, writing and sharing stories that promote activities and successes.Responsible for identifying businesses who are interested in providing work-based learning, on-the-job training, and employment opportunities for system participants.Responsible for maintaining the referral process from business to the ready to work workforce pipeline.Responsible for timely referrals and business touch point record keeping in database(s).Support systems and processes to enhance communication between stakeholders.Disseminate materials, newsletter, whitepapers and highlight collaborative work between education, business, labor and government with the sector.Attend PacMtn Business2Business in trainings, meetings, lectures, seminars, and presentations.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in recruiting and/or hiring and community outreach and development. Prior experience leading teams, establishing goals with team accountability.Prior experience with resume and interview training skill development, and targeted business outreach for job development/placement.Knowledge of program design and community outreach.Strong interpersonal communication skills, strong writing skills with an ability to prepare clear concise materials.Desired, but not required, knowledge of PacMtn region,
