**Job Description:**
- Perform general nursing duties and manage direct patient care.
- Practice at the highest level of licensure by collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members for effective care coordination.
- Assess and support patient physical symptoms and provide psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
- Mentor team members, promote best practices, and maintain a professional disposition.
- Document patient care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Utilize equipment like the Pyxis medication system efficiently.
- Work 12-hour shifts, with a requirement to work every third weekend and rotate holidays.
- Be willing to float to other departments as needed.
- Handle a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 (days) and 5-6:1 (nights) for general medical level of care.
- Adhere to the dress code of any color scrubs, excluding pediatric designs.
- Participate in unit-specific training and orientation facilitated by the department's Clinical Educator.
- Receive a 12-hour shift orientation on the floor with a unit preceptor, followed by independent work with an assigned patient group.
