Job Requirements / Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience building and shipping technical products.
  • Experience building and launching consumer computing devices or related experiences (e.g. OS, platforms, apps).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with consumer hardware development life-cycles and ODM/CM working models.
  • Experience with mobile and consumer electronics technology stack, including media pipelines, networking, wireless, security, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with computing, mobile operating systems, and software application development life-cycles.
  • Excellent communication skills to advocate initiatives internally and externally, and for communication with executive management and external partners.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define the core product use cases for new devices in the portfolio informed by long-term product idea, technical capabilities, and market context, and work with other PMs and cross-functional partners to align on overall value proposition, product positioning, and portfolio strategy.
  • Work with Industrial Design, Product Design, and other stakeholders to develop the physical design of each device, ensuring that it fits into the user's home and represents the Google brand.
  • Drive the overall commercial success of each product by helping identify significant business growth opportunities and facilitating alignment on decisions to trade off cost against feature set and design.
  • Help shape investments in technology development and innovation to bring new capabilities and experiences to devices.
  • Mentor and guide Product Managers on the team.
