Key Responsibilities
The Lead Design Engineer will be responsible for technical accuracy of project design details and plans, including:
- Assigning projects to design staff
- Monitoring and meeting project schedules and budgets
- Mentoring/assisting design staff to complete projects
- Reviewing plans prepared by staff, preparing submittals to review agencies (OEPA, NEORSD, CWD, Utility Companies, etc.)
- Preparing bidding documents / specifications
- Assisting the Project Manager with Construction Administration
- Communicating with Project Managers, Senior staff and Management
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- PE license preferred.
- Civil 3d proficiency required.
- 6 to 10 years of experience managing the design of municipal sewer, water main, and non-odot roadway projects.
- Experience with residential subdivision and commercial site development a plus.
