As a Set Up Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our machines run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for setting up and operating machines to meet product requirements, troubleshooting equipment and packaging issues, and performing quality checks. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of production and ensuring top-notch quality in our products.Key Responsibilities:Machine Set-Up & Operation: Prepare and operate machines to meet product specifications.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment and packaging issues.Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and document any issues or repairs.Trial Runs: Perform trial runs to ensure machines are set up correctly.Preventive Maintenance: Conduct PMs on auxiliary equipment to keep everything running smoothly.Support: Cover for operators during breaks and assist with cleaning tasks.Required Skills & Qualifications:1-2 years of experience in machine set-up or PM tech roles.1 year of experience with hand tools and basic mechanical repairs.1 year of product inspection experience.Proficiency in machine troubleshooting and basic repairs.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and stand all day.Ability to read a ruler up to 1/32 of an inch.1 year of documentation experience (quality issue reporting, downtime, repairs).Preferred Qualifications:2 years of set-up/PM experience on converting, slitter, or extrusion equipment (FMC or CMD brand).Experience in bag/pouch production.Experience in a packaging environment.Experience assisting maintenance teams with machine breakdowns or repairs.Employee Value Proposition:Stability & Growth: Join a large global flexible packaging company with significant job stability and growth opportunities.Bonuses & Benefits: Enjoy a quarterly bonus of up to 5%, benefits starting Day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k with match), and an Employee Wellness Program with rewards.Compensation: Bi-weekly pay, $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, plus a 5% bonus.Time Off: 2 weeks vacation, perfect attendance bonus, and sick pay paid out if not used.Development: Tuition reimbursement and a Skills Path Program for raises and promotions.Work Environment:GMP Environment: Work in a GMP environment requiring gowning up, hair net/beard net, shoe covers, safety glasses, and sometimes gloves.Modern Facility: Enjoy a temperature-controlled, large facility with updated amenities.Business Challenge: These positions are open due to the growth of our pouch and bag line, with new machines and lines being installed in the next few months.
