Our client, an elite investment banking boutique, is seeking an experienced Associate to join their M&A team. This prestigious firm has a track record of advising on over $850 billion in transactions across various industries since its founding in June 2015. With offices in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Stamford, our client offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile deals in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
As an Associate in M&A, you will be a key player in our client's business strategy and execution. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution, including:
- Developing content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A transactions
- Interacting with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
- Defining, guiding, and reviewing detailed valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analyses
- Preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and supervision to junior Associates and Analysts
- Participating in graduate recruiting efforts

Qualifications

- 3+ years of prior work experience in an investment banking front office role
- Minimum Bachelor's degree from a top-tier educational institution
- Strong financial modeling skills
- In-depth understanding of the transaction cycle and execution process
- Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders in other lines of business
- Self-direction, high motivation, and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated leadership potential and mentorship capabilities
