Job Brief
Our Miami office is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Analyst who will be a key member of the investment banking team supporting M&A and restructuring transactions in the Caribbean, Central America and South America.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and analyze M&A, restructuring and financing opportunities.
- Assist senior bankers in all stages of a transaction including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, and preparing client presentations.
- Develop and maintain complex models including financial valuation, debt sustainability, accretion/dilution, and leveraged buyouts, among others.
- Prepare presentation materials for client meetings, covering topics such as strategic alternatives and general corporate finance.
- Perform client and transaction due diligence as required.
- Assist senior bankers in organizing and streamlining deal processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one or two years of investment banking, private equity, or big four experience.
- Outstanding valuation skills and comfort in reading and interpreting financial statements.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- High level of focus on work quality and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting requests and perform under tight deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative and function independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills utilized within a team environment and in client interaction.
- Outstanding Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout Latin America and the Caribbean for client engagements.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
