What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Deployment Engineer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions).

  • Manage and maintain Connect App release and critical application deployments to support the Barclays workstation, servers, ATM devices, Branch and core releases.
  • Design and develop effective technical and tactical solutions in compliance with the Business principles and Enterprise standards.
  • Provide technical support to facilitate the delivery of small, medium, and large projects; provide operational review, recommendation, and product analysis as part of the design and engineering process.
  • Implement solutions and support in line with technology roadmaps and global bank strategy.
  • Patch management and vulnerability remediation for workstation, Citrix estate.
  • Work with IT Security to ensure all IT Security policies and standards are applied as per global security standard.
  • Assess future product changes for suitability against the business and user requirements.
  • Provide engineering expertise to support the Lifecycle Management decision making and change delivery process.
  • Provide technical support to operations teams with respect to escalations, tasks and issues.
  • Responsible for new implementation and project deliverables.
  • Responsible for handling complex software deployment rollouts for Citrix environment, ATM, Branches etc.
  • Ensure service improvement for Citrix Environment to improve the compliance and deployment success rate & performance for end users.
  • Decommission of legacy applications/servers.
  • Deploy applications and patches to laptops and desktops using MECM.
  • Prepare monthly deployment dashboard and Reports.
  • Conduct meetings with Release Management, Service Delivery Management team for status review.
  • Responsible for monthly SLA, metric data from deployment perspective.
  • May telecommute.

Purpose of the role

To manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget and quality requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Management of the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of sprints.
  • Collaboration with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions, and effort and timeline expectations.
  • Collaboration with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle aligned to the banks objectives, regulation and security policies.
  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges.
  • Management of change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Management of vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure they deliver according to agreed terms.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improving deliver outcomes and to foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth.
