Data Management & Control Manager

The Data Management and Control Manager supervises a team of Data Analytics professionals to support Nuveen product master. Examples of the supports include onboarding new products, ensuring content qualities, providing business solutions, resolving data exceptions, BAU data operations, and coordinating data issue root cause analyses/remediations etc. This job ensures that product data is collected, housed and used securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead a team of 6 people onsite and dotted line supervision responsibility of 23 offshore resources.
  • Interact with key stakeholders (e.g. Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, Product Management teams, IT application owners etc.) to support Product Master data operations such as set up new products, define product business terms.
  • Lead data steward activities such as driving product data issue root cause analysis and issue remediation.
  • Monitor integration and optimization of structured and/or unstructured data through use of database tools, technologies and methods.
  • Review database designs and the building of logical, physical and dimensional information models.
  • Plan for data migration and data warehouses within the organization.
  • Manage performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of team.
  • Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 5 Years Required; 7 Years Preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary Work

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in Data Management within Financial Services
  • Experience Managing a team
  • Experience with Data tools and/or Digital Transformation Tools (such as SQL, PowerBI, Alteryx, Excel, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ related working experiences and financial industry working experiences is preferred
  • Familiar with financial data and knowing asset management products is a plus
  • Strong data analytics and handling capability, and is data savvy
  • Experience and knowledge on asset manage business is a plus
  • Very experienced with basic data handling tools such as excel, SQL etc.
  • Strong doer and problem solver
  • Good work attitude and a quick learner
  • Strong communication skills and good at interacting with players with different backgrounds
  • Ability to multitask and handle urgent production supports

Anticipated Posting End Date: 2024-10-04

Base Pay Range: $95,300/yr. - $164,000/yr.
