Factory Director

Location: Hugoton

The Operations Manager will lead manufacturing activities in the factory to achieve desired financial and customer service objectives. The Operations Manager delivers site targets including service, costs, productivity, quality, innovation, OSHE and employee engagement. The Operations Manager leads the local management team to implement and sustain supply chain and category strategies including those in safety, quality, World Class Manufacturing, employee relations, performance management and development of talent. This position is a critical member of the supply chain leadership team and leads the development and sharing of best practices across the network.

This role will build a strong team in a new facility and must have experience in the dairy manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deploy annual operational and financial plans to deliver targets on service, costs, productivity, quality, innovation and Safety, Health & Environmental while recommending long term site strategic plans.
2. Lead the site on Continuous Improvement strategies to engage and facilitate the implementations of innovations for the site for not only products, but ways of working, cost & service models and the supply chain structure. This will include working with the Category Technology team to implement capital investment to meet planned production, quality, safety, environmental & cost targets.
3. Ensure that the technical standards of all manufacturing and non-manufacturing fixed assets are maintained. Enable the factory operation to achieve high level of Customer Service at optimal cost.
4. Coordinate and direct the factory and co-packer operations to achieve the agreed production plans at the specified product quality with optimum labor, energy and materials utilization.
5. Ensure Working Capital management systems are effectively used and deliver inventory targets set with Regional Category Planning Directors and Regional Supply Management Directors.
6. Ensure effective local stakeholder management and community issues aligned with Company policies.
7. Guard and ensure the application of all Company policies and governance requirements.
8. Lead on initiatives and projects aiming for sites integration and collaborative work along the extended Supply Chain.
9. Be the statutory head of factory where there is a legal separation.
10. Lead HR policy deployment and implementation on sites, including management of employee relations.
11. Coordinate and direct the Quality Management.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
2. Experience: Experience in dairy manufacturing and aseptic environments required.
3. Minimum of 8 years in a Supply Chain role (Manufacturing, Technology, EHS, Quality).
4. Minimum 3 years working in a role leading an entire factory, preferably.
5. Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is strongly preferred.

Experience Required:

1. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
2. Requires the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence others.
4. Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to build collaborative relationships and networks with multiple and diverse stakeholders, internal and external partners.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Ability to drive change and innovation by gathering knowledge and resources to ensure tasks are completed within timelines to a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
7. Ability to understand and influence teams to adapt to new ways of working.
8. Spanish speaking is a huge plus.
