Are you passionate about creating a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace? EDCO Products is looking for an experienced EHS Manager to lead and drive our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to world-class standards. In this role, you'll provide expert guidance on EHS compliance, develop and implement safety and environmental programs, and work closely with cross-functional leadership to ensure our operations are safe, efficient, and compliant. You'll play a key role in fostering a proactive safety culture, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across our facilities. This position is located in Hopkins, MN.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the EHS Manager will oversee compliance, project management, and strategic EHS initiatives. You'll be a crucial member of the site safety teams, involved in planning, auditing, and sharing best practices to elevate safety and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a Zero Injury Safety Culture: Lead and coach the site safety teams for the Minnesota and Indiana locations, facility safety committees, and operations teams to eliminate hazards, promote safe work behaviors, and integrate safety as a core business value.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage and report on all EHS activities as per Federal (OSHA and EPA), State, and local regulations. Maintain meticulous EHS record-keeping and documentation.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide daily EHS program guidance for managers, supervisors, and employees, ensuring a unified and effective approach across the organization.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and implement corrective and preventive plans, conducting audits to monitor and improve effectiveness.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions for any safety or environmental incidents.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure all contractor personnel comply with local policies and safety standards while working on-site.
  • EHS Program Development: Develop and deploy EHS programs, including training, to meet both regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Performance Tracking: Utilize Lean tools to assess and improve EHS performance, setting measurable goals and objectives to ensure the function's effectiveness.
  • Project Management: Oversee capital projects for EHS improvements, ensuring they meet budget, timeline, and safety goals.
  • Collaboration with HR: Work closely with Human Resources to manage workers' compensation claims and employee work assignments.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead change initiatives, influence diverse teams, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations, particularly in Minnesota (MN) and Indiana (IN).
  • Behavioral Safety Focus: Strong background in promoting behavioral safety and employee engagement.
  • Integrity and Decision-Making: High level of integrity with a proactive, action-oriented approach to decision-making.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Must be capable of standing, handling, and manipulating objects; occasionally walking, sitting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazardous chemicals, and moderate noise levels.
