What You Will Do
- Leveraging best practices currently employed in the private and public sectors to support the Program/Project Management Office (PMO) and portfolio management functions
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize/manage multiple tasks or activities as needed or requested to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Provide guidance, coaching, quality assurance, and oversight of junior project resources to meet project and client objectives
- Support the management of project schedules, updating of internal resource plan, and reporting on weekly financials & progress (Microsoft Project Online)
- Identify, document, track, and communicate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Lists)
- Document, track, and manage program action items (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Lists)
- Coordinate stakeholder communications and scheduling
- Ability to effectively use facilitation skills and techniques to support the elicitation of user needs from a diverse range of stakeholders, developing critical project artifacts
- Support the development and documentation of high-level process flows, if/as needed
- Support the identification and documentation of user needs (requirements), if/as needed
- Manage and update requirements traceability documentation, if/as needed
- Interface with client on day-to-day project tasks and needs (i.e. meeting prep & follow up, meeting minutes, action item/planning activities, etc.)
- Create executive-level communications for both internal Guidehouse and client stakeholders
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience working on projects in a large organization in either public and private sectors, with experience in PMO support.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Excel, and Project.
- Experience in direct client-facing roles.
- Experience interacting and working with operational groups across organization.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities.
- Ability to present (verbally and in writing) technical information to non-technical audiences
- Collaborative and proactive attitude.
- Ability to meet requirements and be issued a USPS Public Trust
- This position requires US citizenship due to contractual obligations with 5+ years current residency in the USA
- Ability to leverage the Microsoft Power Platform
- Power Automate experience (intermediate to advanced)
- Power Apps experience (intermediate to advanced)
- PowerBI experience (intermediate to advanced)
- Data Governance expertise and experience, to support management and governance of internal Guidehouse and multiple client project/initiative SharePoint environments
