One Floral Group is a wholesale flower producer that provides tailored floral solutions to retail customers throughout North America and is one of the fastest growing producers of floral products. Our business has over five million square feet of growing and production space in more than six facilities in three different climate zones. We have the ability to grow and build a variety of products, including potted plants and planters, outdoor lawn and garden plants, and vegetable propagation in the best conditions.


The position requires detail oriented, aggressive and flexible individual that is willing to work as a team member or independently. The individual should possess above average accuracy and organizational skills. Have excellent follow through procedures, interpersonal, good verbal & written communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy atmosphere. Under the direction of the CMO, identifies and develops the sales and marketing to interact and build long term relationships with prospects/clients to present best value-based propositions to meet client requirements and solve key client issues. This position creates, leads, and manages rapid growth in direct vertical sales and key channel opportunities to immediately drive revenue in the US market.


Education and experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in floral sales to growers
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage timelines to ensure delivery of objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to those at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adapt positively to a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment
  • Demonstrated skills in relationship building and influencing to achieve results
  • Strong team player with self-discipline and motivation to work independently
  • Strong organizational, planning and strategic execution skills
  • Advanced MS Office


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales duties

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop sales programs that are in line with the organizations sales and growth plans.
  • Work with the Business Development team to develop new opportunities that increase our market share with our current customers in the US.
  • Lead the product care for our product.
  • Lead the dormant hydrangea and paniculata programs through tradeshow and existing contact interaction.
  • Attend tradeshows as required to stay up to date on current floral trends.
  • Keep customers up to date on product staging and specifications.
  • Travel to meet with customers and brokers as required (pre-season and post-season).
  • Perform other duties as required.


Administrative duties

  • Utilize current and historical data to write store specific orders for customers to ensure that stores are receiving the correct amount of product to match their sales trend.
  • Flow product to stores taking into consideration the retailers’ requirements as well as maximizing One Floral’s efficiencies.
  • Update inventory levels using Ball Webtracker.
  • Gather all orders from customers and Enter orders by rack/truck load in our inventory system.
  • Analyze sales data to make informed decisions for communicating with customers.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop new programs that are on trend and customer specific.
  • Align sales activities around the product development plan that has been created by the marketing department to ensure that dormant hydrangea demand is fulfilled.
  • Work closely with logistics to ensure that customer delivery requirements are met in the most cost-efficient manner possible.
  • Work closely with production to ensure the product shipped meets the quality and specs required.
  • Work amongst departments to ensure that dormant hydrangea information is flowing as required.

Additional Information

Reports to the Business Development Manager

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours of work: M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, weekends and evenings as per business needs

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience, Short-term incentive plan based on department and company performance

Vacation: 3 weeks of prorated vacation
