We have spent a lot of time and effort cultivating a positive image and reputation in the community and are proud to be the largest office in the area, serving the largest portion of the community. The primary Dr has been operating in the area for over 25 years, and the associate dentist has been on the team for over 10 years. We have been in our current building for 15 years. We offer many advanced procedures that are typically only offered at specialty offices, such as: Implant placement and restoration, sinus lift, LANAP laser periodontal surgery, conscious sedation, endo, most 3rd molar extractions, 3D CBCT, sleep appliances and home sleep testing, and more.

Position: Full-Time Dental Hygienist
Location: 2515 Palmer Hwy, Texas City, TX 77590

Hours:

Monday: 8-4 (every other)

Tuesday: 8-5

Wednesday: 8-5

Friday: 7-3

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current dental hygienist license in Texas and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
  • As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
