This opportunity resides with Cyber & Electronic Warfare , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace.
Mission Technologies a division of HII and their Cyber, Electronic, Warfare & Space team is looking to hire Java Developers using edge technologies to develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources as well as classic SIGINT. Must possess a strong mission focus to do new development, rapid prototyping, and analytics support in a variety of environments.

- Use leading edge technologies to develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources as well as classic SIGINT.
- Develop prototypes answering new questions as well as providing better answers to existing questions.
- Develop new ways to represent the data using data science methods and automating analytic processes using machine language frameworks.
- Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated environment.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and document big data cloud computing workflows.
- Developing answers to questions via Java MapReduce, making them available via the corporate tool suites.
- Opportunities to research and work with multiple platforms for developments.
- Working in a cohesive, small team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates Must be a US Citizen, due to the sensitivity of the work
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph for consideration
- Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience
- Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience.
- Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience or
- High School diploma/GED plus 9-years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
- Strong Java skills, developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 – 5+)
- Experience with Java Pig, MapReduce
- Experience with technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, etc.
- Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (No SQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Tables, etc.
- Experience with Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS)
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge of IP Protocols and Network topologies
- Experience with GHOSTMACHINE analytic development
- Experience with Jira, Maven, and Git
