Employment Opportunity: Senior Network Engineer

Reports to: Manager, Engineering Services
The Senior Network Engineer will be a primary resource for the design, implementation and support of network projects, as well as monitoring and ongoing maintenance of our customer networks. The ideal candidate has real-world experience supporting networks at a CCNP/NSE4 or above level, as it relates to: firewall/VPN, route/switch, cloud services, advanced security, and mobility. Cisco and Fortinet networking experience is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with hands-on network support, focused on implementation and administration of network solutions, and a proven ability to drive design and solutions when given a set of requirements. This position is external customer facing, so communication and customer service skills are extremely important. The successful Senior Network Engineer will become a valuable and contributing part of the Kelser culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support Kelser external customers with:
Project delivery and management participation
Network design, monitoring, and administration
Technical implementation and documentation
· Technical Requirements:
Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki hardware experience
Meraki, Fortinet, Viptela, and Velo SDWAN deployment experience
Working knowledge of 802.11 and Wi-Fi security methods
Advanced knowledge of VLANs, VTP, and STP
Advanced understanding of IPSec, SSL, and remote access VPN solutions
NGFW experience
Advanced IP addressing understanding
Proficient with DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Radius, and other network based services
Network security best practices
AWS, Azure VPN, virtual firewall, and networking expertise
· Handle inbound customer support requests
· Service delivery via excellent communication and customer service
· Attend and comprehend training
· Maintain current Cisco CCNP and/or Fortinet NSE4 certification
· Ability to achieve higher level certifications such as CCIE or NSE5-7
· Accurate time tracking/accounting
· Stay current and be aware of emerging technologies and products
· Availability on a scheduled basis for off-hours and/or on-call assignments
· Other duties aligned with skill set, as directed by Kelser staff
Skills/Qualifications:
- Cisco CCNP or Fortinet NSE4 or equivalent experience preferred
- 8+ years of current hands-on experience with route, switch, cloud services, firewall/VPN, and security
- Network monitoring platforms
- Scripting/automation
- MSP experience a plus
- Network design proficiency
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project documentation (diagramming, written, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
