Senior Accountant

Kinsale is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our Finance team at our office in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities

• Record various expense transactions and perform related bank reconciliations
• Record and report certain tax filings and related payment
• Assist with investment accounting and reporting
• Assist with accounting for reinsurance arrangements and related reporting
• Assist with quarterly statutory reporting
• Maintain depreciation schedules in relevant software
• Assist with cash management as needed
• Documentation of internal controls
• Ad hoc analyses and other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field preferred
• One to three years of accounting experience required
• CPA designation preferred
• Sarbanes-Oxley experience preferred
• One to three years of related insurance experience preferred
• High degree of accuracy and efficiency
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented with initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
