We are looking for:
You, a self-motivated Sr. Staff Accountant with several years of experience working in a global environment, with a high attention to detail, and a 7+ year Accounting degree or equivalent experience. You have a passion for identifying connections between financial data and people. You have assisted teams throughout various stages of the financial cycle. In this role, you will primarily focus on A/R, A/P, Payroll, and month-end close support. You value problem-solving, understand business goals, and think big. In this position, you will:
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Complete financial analysis and fluctuation analysis
  • Monitor balances and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Record, reconcile, and consolidate intercompany transactions and accounts
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting
  • Interact daily with team members across all levels of the organization to support financial aspects of business operations and objectives
  • Assist in calculating and tracking of commissions and other variable payments
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts
  • Review and assist with payroll for international employees
  • Participate in special projects, initiatives, and cross-functional teams as assigned by management
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide financial analysis on special projects and ad hoc items as needed
  • Provide audit support by assisting the Controller with completing all the requirements for the annual audit
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required or equivalent experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum 5 years of related Accounting experience, preferred in a global based company
  • SaaS-related experience is preferred
  • Prior work at a start-up experience preferred
You have experience with:
  • Excel/Google Sheets (Gsuite or Microsoft Office)
  • Understand the importance and urgency of cash management (AR/AP) & Payroll
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks and/or NetSuite
  • Experience with Tipalti is a plus
  • Prior Audit (AICPA) standard experience a plus
  • Adherence to establishing playbooks, policies, procedures, and enforcement
  • Analytical skills - the ability to complete projects with ambiguity
