Position Overview : The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by providing leadership, directing, supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring and managing operation goals. This person must be able to multitask, provide quick responses/solutions to unforeseen warehouse problems, and must always exhibit a professional, efficient demeanor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.
  • Oversees coordinating and scheduling of movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
  • Monitors daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.
  • Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
  • Keep up to date on availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping.
  • Lead, manage, and train a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
  • Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

  • Proven successful leadership experience.
  • 5-year experience in warehouse.
  • 3-year electric pallet jack and/or standup forklift experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience with Meat Processing.
  • USDA Trained.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English.
