The Systems Engineer will support technology solutions for the Wholesale Credit business objectives. Candidate must have broad experience in linux administration for implementation of cloud-based architectures within the bank environment. The System Engineer will use their linux skills and be involved in all aspects of resolution and remediation for the team, and with various risk and compliance teams in the enterprise. The candidate must also have experience in enterprise infrastructure and middleware application solutions.
Qualifications
Autonomous/Self Starter - will be a part of a team driving adoption of Infrastructure solutions across 200+ users and 20 feature teams
Ability to coordinate with implementation partners, business, other IT managers, architecture, internal stakeholders and developers in delivering solutions
Experience in cloud-based architectures and associated Security controls/standards
Ability to coordinate with multiple application partners, business, other IT managers, architecture, internal stakeholders and developers in providing solution suggestions and constructive feedback
Must possess strong analytical, research, and technical capabilities and a demonstrated ability to broadly apply these skills
Work efforts must be thorough and focused with strong attention to detail for risk and security related remediations
Highly professional with strong communication skills
Technical Skills Needed
Knowledge of linux software installation and administration concepts
Strong background in developing or supporting Java web applications
Shell scripting
SFDC Administration certification is desirable
Must have strong data relationship / data interfaces / query skills
Must have good understanding of Web Services (REST / SOAP) skills
Experience in CI/CD tools would be a plus - but not required
- Strong Scripting : Python or Shell
- Using scripting to know how to use to help to Automate processes
- usage of CI/CD Tools : Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, XLR (XL Release) in a linux environment
- Version Control tools: SVN, GIT etc.
- Good experience in Orchestration activities
- Experience in Job scheduling (Usage of any job scheduling tools is fine) - This is not so important skill
- Able to monitor and manage logs (Usage of tools such as Splunk, syslog, Grafana etc etc.)
- Good understanding of API and Web services like SOAP and Rest.
the person should be either from Development background java based out of Linux and moved into CI/CD / Devops
or System Engineer from Infrastructure - Linux and Devops background with good understanding on API and web services
