Senior Project Manager (SPM)

Commercial GC Design Build is looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage multiple construction projects at our Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager (PM) or Senior Project Manager (SPM). A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred along with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the construction schedule through all phases including pre-construction through contract execution
• Assist with preparation of estimates and prepare takeoffs
• Have a thorough knowledge of general contract and subcontract requirements
• Prepare budget reports and change orders
• Support field superintendents in all areas of construction
• Prepare budget and cost estimates, compare actual vs budgeted project cost
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and other workers in the same project
• Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities
• Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
• Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
• Report project progress and budget to client
• Explain contract and technical matters to others in a clear manner
• Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables

Requirements:

• Out of ground construction experience
• 7+ years experience as a construction PM or SPM experience
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $120,000.00 - $126,431.00 per year
