Description
ABOUT THE JOB: The Estimator will supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction. This position also coordinates planning, scheduling, bid solicitation, contract negotiations, and cost management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: .
  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
  • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Generate project budgets, submittals, equipment requirements, purchase orders, material lists, manpower requirements, lodging, and transportation.
  • Understand the contract to ensure the Company's responsibilities and scope of the work.
  • Ensure processes are followed from pre-bid until completion.
  • Respond to telephone and electronic communications.
  • Perform word processing, photocopying, faxing, data entry, scanning, and other administrative duties. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Strong Knowledge of project estimating and management
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple high-profile tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional personal presentation.
  • Great attention to detail.
