About Us: Providence Place at Ingleside is part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, a National Health Ministry of Trinity Health, the second largest Catholic health system in the country. We are dedicated to enhancing the senior independent living experience and maintaining an active lifestyle for our residents.
: As a Cook at Providence Place at Ingleside, you will play a crucial role in preparing, seasoning, and cooking food for our residents, employees, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include receiving orders, measuring and combining ingredients, ensuring the proper serving temperature, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
Primary Responsibilities:
Follow established recipes and menus for soups, entrees, casseroles, and other food items.
Inspect and taste food for quality, seasoning, and temperature.
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers.
Monitor food consumption and adjust production levels accordingly.
Maintain records of food supplies and ingredients.
Transport food to and from storage areas and ensure proper storage.
Estimate food needs and requisition supplies when necessary.
Requirements:
High school education with basic technical training in cooking techniques.
One to two years of previous work-related experience.
No certification, registration, or licensure required.
