Job Title: Electronics Test TechnicianJob DescriptionPerform system and subassembly inspections to verify quality requirements. Conduct equipment debug and troubleshooting of technical equipment to board level. Identify and track problem trends for reporting to department and program management. Conduct root cause analyses and initiate team process improvement activities. Ensure unit/system is functioning at highest levels possible, identifying relevant action plans, and provide execution. Build, test, troubleshoot new design hardware, subassemblies or finished products using layouts, wiring diagrams, written and verbal instructions. Perform formal Repair Acceptance Testing with Customer representatives. Perform work off engineering drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions to build, install, and wire backplanes, subassembly carriers, and subassemblies into telecommunication system racks. Assist engineers to perform and validate test procedures. Diagnose system or unit problems as well as suggest and implement process improvements for future builds. Install and configure computer clients, servers and switches in a network environment. Ability to lead team and processes within department. The work will be in a lab/test environment supporting test/troubleshooting and repair of existing communication systems and future work on the APC program. Small team of 3 technicians in this department but there are plans for the team to expand in 2025.
