**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hour/week
**Experience:** 2 years required
**License:** CA RN License
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all must be AHA certified)
**Must-Have:** Epic experience preferred
**Job Description:**
- Apply the principles of the nursing process in providing competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care from admission to discharge.
- Assure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients while performing disease prevention and restorative measures.
- Respond to medical and environmental emergencies with calm, efficiency, and competence.
- Plan and coordinate delivery of care to maximize efficient care delivery, ensuring a safe environment for patients.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing and medical staff to facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Coordinate involvement of the patient, physician, family, and other health team members to manage patient care, hospital resources, and services.
- Exercise clinical judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of the nursing process and unit activities; develop creative solutions to problems.
- Administer treatments and medications and perform nursing skills in a timely manner.
- Maintain current knowledge of patient care status and monitor the patient's perception of care through clinical rounds.
- Analyze, input, and integrate patient acuity levels in an accurate and timely manner.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of the patient/family, considering biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors.
- Develop and implement the patient's plan of care, including patient/family education and discharge planning.
- Evaluate and re-evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan, modifying as appropriate in collaboration with the patient/family, physician, and other disciplines.
- Complete nursing assessments and ensure nursing processes are individualized and goal-directed to meet all patient needs.
