The role:

Kao USA is seeking a dynamic Senior Regional Sales Manager for our Southeast Region. This individual will lead a sales team to serve all Salon Channels in their sales efforts and execution within each of our Kao Salon Brands – Goldwell, Oribe, Kerasilk, KMS, and Varis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and development of the sales team.
  • Performance management.
  • Manage and lead key relationships with customers to drive long-term sales potential.

This role is responsible for managing Area Sales Managers, Key Relationship Managers, Distributor Sales Managers, or (MLS) Multi Location Salon Sales Managers assigned to them. The geographic area covers the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Ohio.

Area Sales Managers are responsible for leading a group of Brand Executives and Account Executives within a smaller geographic area. This role must manage across a matrix environment utilizing strong influencing skills.

What you will do:

  • Lead the activities of Field Sales Management to successfully maximize efforts to attain sales goals within the assigned Zone within the Salon Channel.
  • Increase market share and brand awareness across all Kao Salon USA brands (Goldwell, Oribe, KMS, Kerasilk & Varis).
  • Develop the skill sets of the Field Sales Management team through inspiration to include: Leadership, Communication, Coaching, and Empathy.
  • Create trusting and constructive relationships with both internal team and customers by conducting regular field visits to ensure proper Field development and business growth.
  • Develop sales skills and effectiveness of direct reports by providing continuous coaching, performance feedback, training, and conducting regular meetings.
  • Prepare periodic reports to demonstrate effectiveness of sales programs and salon sell-through.
  • Develop annual sales budgets and KPIs to measure Salon Channel results.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of field sales team management.
  • 8-12 years of progressive sales leadership and responsibility.
