A Vault and AmLaw 100 ranked law firm is seeking a Finance Associate for their Houston office. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in finance law, specifically in the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of middle-market lenders-side debt financing transactions.
The Finance Practice Group has recently represented a national bank as agent and lender in a $25 million revolving credit facility to provide working capital for an e-commerce retail company. The attorneys in this group have extensive experience in structuring, negotiating, and documenting all types of complex financing transactions, combining sophisticated commercial finance and lending knowledge with strong familiarity in contract, tax, real estate, and securities law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating middle-market lender's-side debt financing transactions.
- Demonstrating strong expertise in UCC Article 9, with experience in single bank and syndicated commercial and asset-based lending preferred.
- Collaborating with clients and team members to ensure successful transaction execution.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance law, with significant hands-on experience in relevant transactions.
- Energy finance experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated, confident, and personable team players are encouraged to apply.
