This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Sales and will play a pivotal role in driving client engagement and expansion.

As our ideal candidate, you will play a critical role in managing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and overseeing the financial aspects of our client accounts. This role requires a firm grasp of business expansion in a legal or services firm, and a consulting mentality that will allow you to tackle obstacles and communicate professionally. You will have the ability to interact with individuals out in the field and in the boardroom – adjusting your approach to each situation. You will thrive in a dynamic, small office environment in downtown Houston, where you will be able to work a hybrid schedule (one day remote per week) following the completion of a successful 90-day onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
  • Understand client needs, goals, and expectations, and ensure that they align with Oliva Gibbs’ service offerings
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by addressing concerns with timely responses
  • Facilitate the onboarding process and collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery
Business Development
  • Identify, pursue, and close client expansion opportunities across business areas and service lines
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and pitches for new business opportunities
Financial Management
  • Work with the billing manager and firm administrator to oversee the financial aspects of assigned client accounts including proper invoicing, billing, and collections
  • Monitor account performance, track time entries, and ensure that billable hours and expenses are accurately recorded and reported
  • Work collaboratively with finance and the assigned partner to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare regular reports for clients on account status
  • Provide clients with insights and recommendations based on legal developments and industry trends
  • Conduct periodic reviews with clients to discuss account performance and potential growth opportunities
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience as an Account Manager within the legal or professional services industry with a focus on Oil and Gas
  • Sales experience in the legal industry, oilfield services or professional services is preferred
  • Experience with a CRM
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, analyze, organize, attend to detail, and follow through
  • Ability to be coached by others
  • Commitment to excellent client service
  • Must be based in Houston and willing to travel up to 30%
Software Application Experience
  • Experience with HubSpot is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite applications, specifically MS Excel
