Position: Senior Estimator
Dominion Property Restoration Services, Inc., a leading mid-sized specialty contractor located in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. We specialize in Structural Concrete Repairs, Waterproofing, Masonry, Specialty Coatings, and more, with a focus on both commercial and government projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids for commercial and government projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the bidding process
- Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Stay current with industry trends and pricing
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating for commercial and government projects
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
